Mackey McDonald

Mackey McDonald is a Senior Advisor at Crestview. He retired as Chairman and CEO of VF Corporation (NYSE: VFC), a world leader in branded apparel with $7 billion in sales. Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, VF is the parent company of well-known brands such as Lee®, Wrangler®, JanSport®, Nautica®, The North Face®, Vans®, REEF® and Seven For All Mankind®. McDonald was Chairman from October 1998-August 2008. He also held the title of CEO from 1996-2007, and the title of President from 1993 to 2006. Under his leadership, VF Corporation expanded its operations worldwide, building a portfolio of growing lifestyle brands sold in the U.S., Europe, South America and Asia. McDonald's career at VF began in 1983 when he joined the company's Lee division. McDonald holds a B.A. degree from Davidson College and a M.B.A. in Marketing Management from Georgia State University. Prior to obtaining his M.B.A., McDonald was a pilot in the United States Army, where he flew missions in Vietnam. McDonald currently serves on the board of Wachovia, a Wells Fargo Company, and the Board of Trustees of Davidson College. He also is a member of the board of the RILA (Retail Industry Leader's Association) and the Executive Committee of the Greensboro Partnership.
