Mackey McDonald is a senior advisor at Crestview. He retired as chairman and CEO of VF Corporation, a world leader in branded apparel with $12 billion in sales. Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, VF is the parent company of well-known brands such as Lee, Wrangler, JanSport, Nautica, The North Face, Vans, REEF, Seven For All Mankind and Timberland. Mackey was chairman from October 1998-August 2008. He also held the title of CEO from 1996-2007 and the title of president from 1993 to 2006. Under his leadership, VF Corporation expanded its operations worldwide, building a portfolio of growing lifestyle brands sold in the U.S., Europe, South America and Asia. Mackey's career at VF began in 1983 when he joined the company's Lee division. Mackey holds a B.A. degree from Davidson College and an M.B.A. in marketing management from Georgia State University. Prior to obtaining his M.B.A., Mackey was a pilot in the United States Army, where he flew missions in Vietnam. Mackey is currently a board member of Wells Fargo, Kraft Foods and Hyatt Hotels and is the chairman of the board of trustees of Davidson College, as well as chairman of the board of NYDJ Apparel.
