Richard Fraley is an operating executive at Crestview. Richard has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and currently sits on the board of Crestview portfolio company W Energy Partners. He was previously the chief operating officer and interim CEO of Samson Resources. He also worked as a managing director for The Carlyle Group’s Energy Mezzanine Opportunities Fund, focusing on upstream and midstream oil and gas opportunities. Richard spent most of his career at Burlington Resources where he held officer level positions, including the company's chief engineer and vice president of international operations. He subsequently ran the company's largest operating division in the San Juan Basin for both Burlington and then ConocoPhillips after the merger of the companies. Prior to Burlington, Richard worked at Superior Oil and Mobil for six years. Richard received his B.S. in Geological Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
