Despite structural difficulties in the North American automotive industry, Crestview had a positive outlook on automotive safety systems due to their importance to both consumers and regulators. Key Safety was one of only four global suppliers with a full passive safety product portfolio and significant opportunity to gain share.

We recruited industry veterans to the board who were effective in working with management to secure new customers. As a result, Key Safety grew at more than twice the rate of the industry, and sales in Asia grew to 48% of total revenue in 2016 versus 17% in 2006.
